Nesting

A day in the life of pandas in the zoo who must deal with society’s views on their love affair.

Jennifer Persechino (playwright) is a writer from New Hartford, CT whose theatrical work has been presented at The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Hudson Warehouse (Wagg) Theater Company, Jersey Shore Arts Center, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Bantam Cinema and Arts Center, TheatreWorks New Milford, Playhouse On Park, Phoenix Stage Company, and Square One Theatre Company. She has an MFA in creative writing from Lesley University and is a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Chris Bushey (Director) has been acting and directing in Connecticut for twenty-five years. Although he loves the stage, his favorite roles are playing dad to his kids Jack and Lucy, and husband to his beautiful wife Nicole. He could not follow his dreams without their love and support. “Thanks to you, our audience, for supporting local theater!”

Marsha Howard Karp (Roxanne) moved to Connecticut from California several years ago. Her IMDb page (Internet Movie Database) includes experience from national, regional, and local productions. Her local WHC-TV cable show, Cameras Rolling, which is focused on local creative artists, has been in production since 2006. She is grateful to her husband Billy, children Jake and Ava, and “all my feline and canine family members who nourish my mama-drama!”

Sheryl Hoffman Simoni (Teddy) is thrilled to be in this inaugural production. Her interest in musical theater began in 9th grade and continued in high school and college. She performed for many years with the Simsbury Light Opera Company and with West Hartford Halloween Hauntings (produced by the Noah Webster House). Sheryl lives in West Hartford with her three cats and enjoys spending time with her four children, their spouses, and 2½ granddaughters.

Njomza Kalaveshi (Zoo Worker), born in Kosovo, studied dramatic arts there. and was a member of the Theatre of Gjilan, the city in which she was raised. She performed frequently for 13 years while also working as an elementary school drama teacher. In 2019 she moved to the U.S. with her young daughter to be closer to her mother and sister, with whom she is a co-owner of the Kalaveshi Arts studio/gallery in Avon. All three of them are artists.
