I Don’t Care

A commentary on the fast-paced, impersonal, professional world in which we live.

Cast:

  • Mr. Goldsmith, a harried patient
  • Off-stage voice, medical office manager

Stuart Brown (playwright) is an award-winning Connecticut playwright whose works have been staged in his home state as well as Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Texas, and via the British podcast, Theatrical Shenanigans. He is a theater critic with the Outer Critics Circle and the Connecticut Critics Circle, and reviews over 60 shows a year. He also runs the 24/7 online Broadway radio station, SoundsofBroadway.com, featuring the best from Off-Broadway, Broadway, and London stages.

George Murphy (director) is celebrating his 52nd year in theater. He has held virtually every backstage production role imaginable, in addition to his on-stage activities, which include acting, singing, and dancing. He has been an artistic director and musical director, as well. A member of many not-for-profit theater groups over the years, George was president of SummerTime Players, Ltd. when they staged the first locally produced play on the Warner Theater stage during the 1980s. He is delighted to be a part of this exciting new group’s inaugural production.

Chris Bushey (Mr. Goldsmith) has been acting and directing in Connecticut for twenty-five years. Although he loves the stage, his favorite roles are playing dad to his kids Jack and Lucy, and husband to his beautiful wife Nicole. He could not follow his dreams without their love and support. “Thanks to you, our audience, for supporting local theater!”

Casandra Linn (The Voice) is excited to be back on stage! Most recently she appeared in Almost, Maine at Farmington Valley Stage Company, and was also in its Renovations for Six as Shayna and Sylvia as Sylvia. She helped produce The Wizard of Oz at the Theatre Guild of Simsbury. She has trained remotely with the Upright Citizens Brigade, and has taken classes with T. Schreiber Studio in New York and Theatre Jacksonville. “Thanks to my family for all their support!”
