Jacques Lamarre (playwright) is a Manchester-based playwright and comedy writer. His work has been seen at TheaterWorks Hartford, Seven Angels Theatre, UHart, Farmington Valley Stage, Hole in the Wall, Playhouse on Park, Little Theatre of Manchester, Theatre4, and others, including venues in New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Florida, Virginia, Georgia and elsewhere. He has written comedy for Wayland Flower’s Madame, drag stars Varla Jean Merman and Miss Conception, and Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese.

Frank Duffy (director), a recent transplant from New York City, has played a number of challenging and just as often drunken Shakespearean roles, and his directing credits include a number of frightful, chilling, and arguably unseemly efforts including Curse of the Starving Class and Judgment at Nuremberg. Before loaning his talents, enthusiasm, and (often self-deprecating) humor to Playhouse 44, his theatrical home was with the Staten Island Shakespeare Company.

Jim Buffone (Buck) has been involved in Connecticut’s amateur/community theatre scene for many years. He is an IT professional living in Avon with his wife Kate, and their two daughters, Ella and Mia.

Kate Buffone (Ellen) has been in many plays and counts among her favorite roles Sylvia in Sylvia at the Goshen Players and Eastbound Theatre, Claire in Rumors at Landmark Community Theatre, and Babe in Crimes of the Heart at the Phoenix Stage Company. She has a huge love for ballet, interior design, and anything sourdough. Kate lives in Avon with her husband Jim and their two little girls, Ella and Mia.

Sean Leahy (Dash) is excited to continue his theater endeavors with Playhouse 44. He has performed in many productions with his school, Northwest Catholic, such as playing Juror 6 in 12 Angry Jurors and Hugo in Bye Birdie. Sean thanks the cast and crew for a great summer experience, and he also thanks his mom for her continued support.

Caren Pauling (Dot) hails from the Philadelphia area, where she performed in many plays. Her favorite roles include Pegeen in Playboy of the Western World and Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest. She has performed as a soloist for many years in The Gift at Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon. Along with husband Bill and adult children Danny and Meghan, Caren has called Avon home for almost 20 years.
